Video Poetry
A selection of the best video poetry films around the world will be screen played in the first part of the festival in a cinema screen at the auditorium of the venue. Three hours of the best video poetry producers, selected via the Filmfreeway platform.
Short Films
A selection of the best short films will be screen played at the auditorium of the venue in a cinema screen. One hour of the best short films selected via the Filmfreeway platform.
Spoken Word + Music
Spoken Word artists around the world have been invited to showcase their work. Performances will be in English, Spanish, Catalan and Greek. Translations will be projected in English when needed. This will be a six hours show with various intervals, where you will be able to enjoy different kind of poetry projects. Performances with live music, experimental music and audiovisuals at the main stage of the venue.
Music concerts
The last part of our festival will be live music concerts at the main stage of the venue.
DUENDE SESSIONS 2021
Duende Sessions Festival, started in July 2019 with a big success and in 2020, as the situation due to the pandemic didn't let us organize a live event, we produced the spoken word with music movie "Duende Sessions - The Movie". In our third edition we aim to take the level up and showcase unique performances, combined with the sound of the soul.
We are very happy to make a dream come true this year and collect video poetry & short films works from around the world to showcase in our festival. The festival takes place in a venue with 3 separate spaces and the main stage is an auditorium with a cinema screen that can accommodate 200 people sitting and we calculate that for the screenplay, we´ll receive around 300 people. The festival lasts 12 hours in total. In the first 3 hours, we will play video poetry and short films at the big screen of the auditorium. After the festival, all the videos selected, will be published on our website and they will be featured until June 2022. The festival will screen a number of 30 video projects developed through the medium of poetry.
